Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • Reviewer Suggestions:
    During the submission process, please suggest three potential reviewers with the appropriate expertise to review the manuscript. The editors will not necessarily approach these referees. Please provide detailed contact information (address, homepage, phone, e-mail address). The proposed referees should not be current collaborators of the co-authors. You may identify appropriate Editorial Board members of the journal as potential reviewers. You may suggest reviewers from among the authors that you frequently cite in your paper.

Submitting your manuscript to Pacific International Journal

Pacific International Journal receives all manuscript submissions electronically via an online submission system, which allows for rapid submissions of original and revised manuscripts, as well as facilitating the review process and internal communication between author, editors, and reviewers, via a web-based platform.

All manuscripts must be original work not yet submitted to any other journal or publications. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscript artwork, and photographs, become the property of the publisher. Receipt of manuscript will be acknowledged and authors should retain a copy of the manuscript exactly as it was submitted.

Manuscript Preparation

  • All manuscripts must be prepared in English and free of grammatical, spelling, and/or punctuation errors. Please make sure the paper is thoroughly edited and proofread before submission. Non-native authors may consider using professional copy-editing services.
  • All manuscripts must be accompanied by a short abstract of max. 250 words and a list of no more than six keywords, which define the subject matter. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and references to the text in the abstract.
  • All manuscripts should include at least the following sections: abstractintroduction; literature review; methodology; findings; conclusions; and references.
  • All files should be submitted as a Word document(.doc or Docx).
  • Manuscripts should normally not exceed 17 pages (everything included).
  • Manuscripts must be single-spaced, and 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins left, right, top and bottom.
  • Please use IEEE style for in-text citations and reference lists. 
  • Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the formatting guidelines. Please do NOT include the AUTHORS(s)’ NAMES in the file name BEFORE your paper is accepted.

  • All references cited in the article must be listed in the references and the names must be spelled correctly in both places (This is one point that often is overlooked).
  • Please do NOT use footnotes and do NOT list references as footnotes at the end of each page.
  • Please perform a cross-check to make sure that all citations used in the manuscript are included in the references and all articles in the references are cited in the manuscript.
  • Please make sure that all tables, figures, and charts are complete, accurate, correctly titled, and are correctly referenced in the text.
  • If any table, figure, or chart is taken directly from another publication, you need to include a release (permission to publish) from the original publisher.

1. Narrative Research on Ethnic Development: Exploring the history and current status of ethnic development, and studying the linguistic and cultural elements in ethnic narratives.

2. Language Planning and Language Teaching: Analyzing language policies and the development of language teaching in China or the Philippines, including the role and significance of English in ethnic narratives, policy changes, teaching strategies, and the current state of English language teaching in both countries.

3. Second Language Acquisition Research: Studying theories and practices of second language acquisition.

4. Ethnic Economic Development: Discussing issues related to social development, economic development, social governance, and economic management in connection with ethnic development.

5. Teaching in Specific Fields: Examining how art and physical education promote ethnic characteristics, narratives, and ethnic development.
